My weekend story....

When I was in second grade, my teacher, Mrs. Stern, had us write a weekend story every Monday. Some times they would be as long as "On Saturday me" ( may I remind you I had HORRIBLE spelling and grammar back then). Other times the paper would be up to 2 pages long. Even though the paper was wide-ruled and I skipped every other line and I had HUGE hand writing... still it was 2 pages. Every now and then I look at my sloppy work and cannot help but to laugh. My spelling is so wrong or the fact that you cannot understand what i am talking about that I cannot help but to laugh out loud. One of my favorite stories is when I go to my cousins house for mid-winter break, this time it was just a LONG weekend. (What ever is in parentheses I added just so you could understand the story a little better)... this is what I wrote...

"Vaction Story

On Mid-Winter Break I wint to Palingham (Bellingham) First, (May I point out that there is no period) my family got to the Kasins (cousins) house. We got ther win it was dark. Next, we win't inside but Kasha and Alisa wrnt ther. Thay where still at Church. Also, Alisa and I made our oun fort. There was a roke ( I think that was suppose to be "rock"... I am not sure though) for the tabl. There where wood for the chars. A hole to make a fire in it. Finally, Collin made tostied Olmins. I shre had fun at the Kasins."

I even drew a picture to go along.

Yes... I colored over my writing.
I don't know if you can tell but I am on the left and Alissa is on
the right and the fire is in the middle.
How cute.
Each of the spaces in that story was about as long as my thumb... I think that is the only reasons that paper is 2 pages long. I made sure I wrote that word for word so you could get a small glimpse into my 2nd grade mind. I have a whole stack here that I could share with you but that would take to long and it would scare people away.

I thought you might want to see, hear, read... I don't know what you would call it... a little about my younger life. So there you go.
